Virtual reality is increasingly making its way into our daily lives, making many of our daily actions easier. The pandemic has contributed to the creation of new systems and platforms to allow us to carry on with our lives in the most natural way possible.

One of the areas that has been most affected and which has needed to adapt quickly to this situation has been education, so that all students can continue with their studies without negative effects: online classes, videos, exams through the intranet, documents... There is a wide variety of solutions that the different institutions had to implement quickly so that all students could continue with the course.

In this particular case, we want to focus on education and virtual reality. Thanks to a study by the ABC newspaper (www.abc.es) we know that the first years of a child's life are essential for their development, since this is the time when they will develop their emotional, social, linguistic and motor skills, which is why it is important to offer them an attractive and quality education.

In addition, at this age, the memory process starts to activate, and at the same time, the ability to focus is acquired; therefore it is very important to show them all the content in an innovative way, where they will live an immersive experience in which they will have fun learning.

We are going to show you some of the benefits that virtual reality brings to children's education below:

  • Primary and secondary school students are in an evolutionary and restless stage, therefore introducing virtual reality in teaching makes them feel more attracted to the content shown and want to know more;
  • Knowledge is acquired more quickly since children are more concentrated, this saves time and therefore other topics can be introduced during the session;
  • Being in a totally different environment to traditional education helps children to be more concentrated and will also encourage teamwork between students;
  • The content displayed can be fully customisable and adaptable to the type of education required, as it can combine formative lessons, games and activities, videos, images and much more;
  • As it is completely interactive teaching, the content is retained for longer and in a more stable way than traditional teaching.

As we can see, it is very important that children are given an attractive and interesting education that encourages them to pay attention and want to learn more every day.

At Walcon Virtual we provide you the opportunity to develop classes through virtual reality, with specialised classrooms adapted to teaching in an environment that can be customised to the characteristics required.
