The demand for virtual events has skyrocketed over the last year. COVID-19 has forced companies and institutions to hold their meetings, conferences and any other type of event over the internet.
The company Walcon Virtual Events, based in Alicante's Digital District since 2018, provides specialised consultancy services for the organisation of virtual events on immersive 3D/VR platforms that allow maximum interaction between participants. During 2020 this company grew exponentially to adjust to the growing demand for this type of event and is now preparing to be able to cope with this year's event bookings. For this reason, it has made an alliance with the temporary employment agency Dekra, with which it is actively collaborating to create a permanent employment pool of staff with a high level of language skills (mainly English).
The company offers a training plan to fill the positions of assistant and project manager for international virtual events. Candidates must be proficient in computer applications, have their own computer and be bilingual or have a minimum level of C1 in English or other languages.
During the first days of 2021 Walcon has already held major events such as the III Smart technology Forum organised by Smartech Cluster and KNX Spain. And the agenda for the coming days includes, among others, the Congress of Management Teams of the Consellería d'Educación, Research, Investigació, Cultura i Esport (CEFIRE), the 1st World Education Congress EDUCA 2021 organised by the platform mundoeduca.org and the International Ornithological Tourism Fair (FIO) organised by the Fair Institution of Extremadura FEVAL.
