As reported by a Spanish national media, "The Government will allocate up to 3.8 million euros to SMEs and freelancers based in Spain or in the European Union working on experimental development projects and process innovation in the field of technologies associated with Web 3 and the metaverse."

With this initiative framed within the Digital Spain 2026 strategy, the BOE has published this call dedicated to grants for the development of processes through technologies such as VR, AR or XR, including the metaverse.

The aim of this initiative is to shape a new and much more competitive scenario that allows the attraction of business opportunities in Spain, wanting to turn it into an Audiovisual and Technological Hub in the medium/long term.
